Venture/Container Management |

Venture Maintenance | Create a Venture without adding it to a container and manage that Venture's logistics information. Manage the Documents for that venture including the Certificate of Analysis entry. Manage the Packing List Information (if applicable) through Lot Entry, Quantity Review, and Packing List views. |

| Venture Certificate of Anaylsis (optional) | Manage the entry of Certificate of Analysis data. This data can be compared to the original Purchase Specifications indicating whether product "Meets Spec" or not. This data can also be used to later compare against a Customer's Sale Specifications and indicate whether the Venture meets that Customer's Specifications as well. (For Information on how to enter in Specification Headings click here) | |||

Venture Transactions | Put the Venture that is not part of a container in Transit, remove that Venture from In Transit and put it back to "At Source," receive a Venture that is not part of a Container or Undo the Receipt of a Venture. Delete A Venture - Only At Source Ventures without packing lists can be deleted. Warehouse Transfers - Start a transfer, create a Delivery Order for that Transfer, Receive a Transfer, Undo Receipt (Put the Transfer back 'In Transit') or Undo (Remove) all Transfers for a given Venture. |

Container Maintenance | Create a Container and associate Venture(s) with it. Enter shipping logistics information, track documentation status, upload documents and files to the server and associate them with the Container. Create system-generated documents:Container Delivery Order, Container Traffic Instruction Sheet. |

Container Transactions | Put a Container In Transit, Undo a Container In Transit, Receive a Container, Delete a Container, begin tracking Venture Costs. |

Venture Explorer | A Query tool that can be customized to display different details about a Venture in different ways. The user selects initial filtering options through a "Basic" or "Advanced" filter tool then clicks Proceed. A "Venture Explorer Scan" is loaded displaying the results of the query with a list of sortable columns which can also be exported to MS Excel. Additional filtering can be done after the initial filter is run. |

Inventory Management | A Query tool that can be customized to display different details about all "Moved to Warehouse" Ventures in different ways. A more traditional view of existing on hand inventory, that can also be exported to MS Excel. | ||

Venture Analysis | A function within VIS, which will provide the user with a detailed summary of information about a given Venture. Its purpose is to give the user a complete view of the Venture, including financial information, logistics information and inventory information as well as shipment documentation. It can be accessed from the Main Menu (Venture Management: Venture Analysis or Reports: Venture Analysis). | ||

Final Matching | (Allocation, Inventory Allocation) -The process of matching goods from available inventory (whether In Transit or Received into a Warehouse) by selecting specific packages from their associated ventures and applying them against open Sales to customers. Inventory Allocation (a more generalized matching process, similar to most other systems) is also available through VIS. | ||
| Inventory Allocation | The process of matching goods from available inventory (whether In Transit or Received into a Warehouse) by selecting the warehouse that goods should be drawn from (rather than associated ventures) and applying them against open Sales to customers. Final Matching (a more specific matching process, unlike other systems) is also available through Inventory Allocation. | |||

Delivery Maintenance | Create a Customer Delivery and associate Venture(s) with it. Delete Deliveries. Create system-generated documents: Customer Delivery Order(s), Customer Packing List(s), Route Planning, Invoice. Ship and generate Invoices.

Release Explorer | The Release Explorer in VIS can be accessed from Shipment Management in The VIS Main Menu or from the VIS Navigation Bar. Release Explorer is used to identify a given Shipment (or Release) or group of Shipments to a Customer, based on one or many criteria for filtering. | ||
